Pie Dealers, a better deal than the supermarket?
Pie Dealers are a vegan pie maker based in Camden Town, London. They make everything by hand and even have their own vegan mozzarella.
You can either pop to their London location or order online and have their pies delivered straight to your home. Their pies last for up to three months in the freezer.
This is an independent review, I'm not sponsored by Pie Dealiers. You can probably tell from my photos I'm not a food photographer either. I just love eating and want to give you the honest truth.
Sloppy Joe
I was not expecting peas. While I don’t mind peas in my pies, I like to know when they’re making an appearance. Peas aside, this was a lovely pie, made even better by their moreish cheese.
Fake and Ale
A classic reinvented. The meat was a good texture and full of flavour. I did think there could be more meat but maybe I was unlucky cause Claire said she had loads in hers. Lucky sod.
Macaroni
Okay, listen. I put this in the oven when Arsenal were playing so it accidentally got left in too long. Sorry little pie. Still it was delicious. Can’t wait to get my next order and do it justice.
[Edit: I had them again and cooked the pie properly. It was amazing, really cheesy and gooey.]
Farmhouse
This was a bit of a wild card for me but it ended up being my second favourite. The filling was so creamy and delicious, who knew veg could taste so good?
Stroganoff
Not being a professional food critic I don’t quite have the vocabulary to explain how good this was. Delicious doesn’t come close. I could have eaten a thousand of these.
Final rating for Pie Dealers: 4/5. These pies are worth the dosh. The perfect little vegan treat for when you’re wanting to indulge. I felt they had more substance and fuller flavours than supermarket counterparts.
